This scent captures the spirit of the Great Migration — a sweeping movement beginning around 1918, when Black Americans and other minorities left the Jim Crow South in search of opportunity, dignity, and freedom in northern cities like Chicago, Detroit, and Harlem, New York.

Many made the journey by train, and it’s from that image — of passengers leaning out of open windows, faces lifted to the rushing wind — that Northern Air takes its inspiration. That moment, suspended between past and future, carries the scent of movement, of hope, and of possibility.
